Infineon Technologies Asia Pte Ltd has opened its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Kallang sector, Singapore. The two 10-storey towers house Infineon's regional headquarters functions in the Asia-Pacific, including production, logistics, sales and marketing and R&D. Besides having an IC design center, Infineon Technologies Asia-Pacific is also the global testing hub for the company's logic IC products.

Lim Hng Kiang, minister of trade and industry for Singapore, said, "Singapore's partnership with Infineon spans over 30 years. Since the establishment of its IC Design center in the early 1990s, Infineon's R&D team here has grown to over 300 research scientists and engineers. Infineon also employs some 200 IC designers. This makes Infineon the largest IC design team in Singapore."

"The opening of the new Asia-Pacific Headquarters building marks a significant milestone for Infineon," added Wolfgang Ziebart, CEO of Infineon Technologies AG. "Currently, Asia-Pacific contributes over one-third of Infineon's revenue. With Asia on its continued path as one of the strongest growth engines for the semiconductor industry, Infineon is poised for further growth," Ziebar stated.
