Harting expanded its RJ Industrial product family with the release of an overmolded version of the IP 20 connector. Based on the modular concept of the RJ Industrial range, the system cables built with this connector make field assembly unnecessary, said the company.

The overmolded RJ Industrial IP20 emphasizes the advantages of the fieldpatch connector. According to the press release, the data connector is the smallest Ethernet connector that is able to work with AWG 22 cables using the IDC technology.

Combined with a more robust look, this new product satisfies high-end requirements. Overmolding is a plus since it enhances an already good product, said Harting, and requires less space.
