Denali announced that its PureSpec verification intellectual property (VIP) product is now available for the verification of USB designs.

PureSpec provides both design and verification engineers with a high-quality solution for modeling, simulating and verifying designs that utilize the latest USB 2.0 and USB OTG interfaces, said the press release. "Seamless integration to all the latest testbench tools and languages ensures out-of-the box productivity," said Vic Juneja, product marketing manager for Denali, "and when the pressure is on, they know that our world-class engineering and support staff is committed to their success."

PureSpec-USB

PureSpec-USB is a complete verification IP solution for verifying compliance and compatibility of USB designs. This solution includes a configurable bus functional model (BFM) that models the USB 2.0 and USB OTG specifications, and all interfaces such as DpDm, UTMI+ and ULPI. It also provides engineers a sophisticated data generation engine to help drive defined, pseudo-random bus traffic at all layers. Injected errors and error conditions are flagged and recovered according to USB specifications.

PureSpec

PureSpec verification IP supports a number of standard interfaces, including PCI Express (PCIe), Advanced Switching Interconnect (ASI), USB, Ethernet and Serial ATA (SATA). It is designed architected to ensure high-quality, high-performance and seamless integration to all EDA testbench tools and languages, said Denali. PureSpec is available for customer evaluation at the company's website.
