Fully compliant with the SAS 3.0Gbps serial data interface specifications, these host receptacles are available in a broad range of vertical and right angle configurations and with the choice of through hole, press fit and SMT fixing. Complementing the standard 29-position vertical receptacles is a series of innovative 'hybrid' vertical configurations. One of these uses through hole mounting for the power pins and surface mounting for the signal pins to enhance mechanical strength and signal integrity. A wide base version is also available for applications needing greater mechanical stability. Right angle receptacles are offered in a range of mounting height options, allowing disk drives to be seated in a PCB cut-out or to be mounted above components in space restricted applications or where air flow cooling is required. A reversed receptacle variant allows disk drives to be plugged in upside down. FCI's broad range of serial attach SCSI backplane receptacles feature guide pegs for blind disk drive mating and staggered pin lengths for hot plugging of SAS and serial ATA drives. -Henri ArnoldElectronics Express EuropeeeProductCenter Visit Asia Webinars to learn about the latest in technology and get practical design tips. |
