CIT Relay & Switch now offers a family of subminiature sealed pushbutton, rocker and toggle switches that are compliant to the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive. They withstand the higher soldering temperatures required by RoHS, lead-free material vapor flux, and infrared reflow techniques.

The cUL recognized switches are capable of switching logic level at .4VA at 20Vac to 3A at 120Vac and 28Vdc or Vac and 1.5A at 250Vac. These sealed (IP67), washable, and process compatible switches are impervious to aqueous or solvent cleaning solutions, and therefore, can be installed with no special handling, according to the company.

Available in single- and double-pole options ranging from on-on to on-off-on in latching and momentary configurations, the BST, BSR and BSP series are sealed against solder and cleaning processes. A wide range of toggle, rocker and pushbutton caps in PC-board through-hole, right-angle PC-board, solder lug and surface-mount terminations are available.

The subminiature BST and SST toggle, BSP rocker, BSP and SSP pushbutton and BSR rocker switches are offered with gold contacts for dry circuit applications or silver alloy contacts for power applications. A variety of color and marking options are included within the BSR rocker series, while the BSP pushbutton series offers standard cap color options in white, red and black.

Pricing starts at $1.15 in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is five to six weeks.
