SunPower Corp., a Silicon Valley-based subsidiary of Cypress Semiconductor Corp., introduced a new line of inverters, which are offered in three power ratings: 2,000W (120V), 2,900W (208V) and 3,200W (240V).

Each model is designed specifically to match the electrical characteristics of the company's ultra-high efficiency solar panels, maximizing system energy production. "By carefully matching the operating characteristics of these new inverters to our solar panels, we ensure that our customers can capture the maximum amount of solar energy from their roof every day of the year," said Tom Werner, SunPower's CEO.

The press statement further said that all of SunPower's inverters have received the highest efficiency rating in their class as part of an independent testing program developed by the California Energy Commission.

"Our new line of high-efficiency inverters further enhances the performance advantage of SunPower's solar systems and allows us to offer our customers an unmatched 10-year standard product warranty on the entire system," Werner added.
