Keywords:ncp400? on semiconductor? on semi? low-dropout regulator? ldo regulator?

The NCP400 from ON Semiconductor is a low-dropout (LDO) regulator with integrated voltage detection and programmable delay. This new product is capable of supplying 150mA with a dropout of 160mV at 100mA, and offers an ultra-low quiescent current of 50?A (typ) at full load and 0.25?A (typ) when the device is disabled.

Designed for portable battery-powered applications, the NCP400 contains a voltage reference unit, an error amplifier, comparators, PMOS power transistor, current limit and temperature limit protection circuits for the regulator portion. It can be used with low cost ceramic capacitors and requires a minimum output capacitor of 1?F at the regulator output.

The NCP400FCT2G is housed in a Pb-free, 6-pin Flip-Chip package in 3,000-piece tape and reel quantities, with a price of 55 cents.
