CMD concluded sale of Tempe facility

California Micro Devices Corp. has completed the sale of its facility in Tempe, Arizona to Microchip Technology Inc. for $1.9 million.

"The sale of our Tempe facility is a major milestone for California Micro Devices, marking our transition to a fully fabless company," said Robert V. Dickinson, president and CEO. "In keeping with this transition, as we have previously indicated, substantially all of our revenue this quarter and in the future will be from our core business," Dickinson added.

California Micro Devices is a supplier of application specific analog semiconductor products for the mobile handset, PC and digital consumer electronics markets. Key products include Application Specific Integrated Passive (ASIP) devices and selected high value mixed-signal ICs.
