RFMD ships CDMA PA modules to Samsung

RF Micro Devices Inc. (RFMD) has commenced production shipments of CDMA power amplifier (PA) modules to South Korea-based handset and consumer electronics maker Samsung Electronics. The CDMA production shipments occur as RFMD marks the delivery of its 100 millionth RF component to Samsung.

Eric Creviston, VP of RFMD's cellular products group, said, "These production shipments represent our first-ever shipments of CDMA power amplifiers to Samsung. These are significant milestones for RF Micro Devices."

Moreover, RFMD has also shipped five million EDGE transceiver chipset.
