RoHs-compliant amp ICs boost signals across 6GHz to 25.5GHz

Amplifiers suit commercial and military marketsHittite Microwave Corp. has launched a line of monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) based amplifiers for commercial and military markets, targeting point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, test equipment, sensors, and other applications from 6GHz to 25.5GHz.

The HMC342LC4 is a GaAs PHEMT MMIC low noise amplifier housed in a RoHS compliant 4-by-4mm surface mount package, and operating from 13GHz to 25GHz. The amplifier offers 22dB gain and a noise figure of 3.5dB, while the RF I/Os are matched to 50? and internally DC blocked for simplified implementation. The HMC342LC4 operates from a single positive supply of 3Vdc and consumes 43mA.

The HMC441LC3B and HMC442LC3B are efficient GaAs PHEMT MMIC medium power amplifiers housed in 3-by-3mm, RoHS compliant surface mount packages. Operating between 6GHz and 25.5GHz, these amplifiers provide 13dB to 17dB of gain and 22dBm to 23dBm of saturated output power at 27 percent PAE. Both products operate from a single positive supply of 5Vdc and consume less than 95mA. The HMC441LC3B and HMC442LC3B require no external matching components, and are suitable as linear drivers for Hittite power amplifiers or as LO buffers for Hittite mixers.
