Future Waves unveils lowest cost/power RF solution for DAB, FM

Future Waves, a design house and fabless manufacturer of RF chips, has licensed a core RF technology platform from Toumaz Technology to develop its first product—a highly integrated rf front-end for DAB, FENIX.

The Fenix (FNX14701) is a highly integrated monolithic circuit, implemented in a silicon 0.18?m bulk CMOS process. According to the press release, the single-chip RF solution for DAB and FM has the lowest power and cost in the industry. "This new product enables customers to provide a highly competitive and flexible solution to end-users in terms of price, power consumption and functionality," said Glenn Vandevoorde, CEO of Future Waves.
