The NJW1177 from New Japan Radio Co. Ltd (NJR) is an audio processor that includes all of functions needed in processing audio signal for TV, including volume, tone control, balance, mute and AGC functions.

With an operating voltage between 7.5V and 13V, the new processor features SRS 3D, BBE sound enhancement and ealaBASS. According to NJR, the eala and ealaBASS perform natural surround sound field regarded center orientation and graceful bass sound with low distortion.

Utilizing the Bi-CMOS technology, the NJW1177 IC has a volume range between 0dB to -100dB/0.5dB step, and channel balance of less than 1dB (at -70dB Att). All internal status and variables are controlled by an I?C BUS interface.

NJR's new chip is housed in an SSOP44 package.
