Hittite Microwave Corp. announced the release of three new GaAs HBT MMIC Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) for Point to Point/Multipoint, VSAT, Test Equipment and Industrial applications at 11-, 12- and 24GHz.

The HMC513LP5, HMC514LP5 and HMC533LP4 are fully-integrated InGaP HBT VCOs. They incorporate an integrated resonator, negative resistance device, and varactor diode, and are optimized for phase noise performance over temperature, shock, and process due to their monolithic structure. These VCOs deliver high output power, operate from a single positive supply voltage, and allow the prescaler function to be disabled in order to reduce power consumption.

Covering 10.43GHz to 11.46GHz, the HMC513LP5 HBT MMIC VCO, and the HMC514LP5, covering 11.17GHz to 12.02GHz, both feature 7dBm power output, as well as Fo/2 and divide-by-4 outputs. Both VCOs are housed in leadless QFN 5-by-5mm surface mount packages, operate from a single 3Vdc supply, and exhibit -110dBc/Hz single-sideband (SSB) phase noise at 100kHz offset from the carrier.

Spanning 23.8GHz to 24.8GHz, the HMC533LP4 features 12dBm output power, and a divide-by-16 output. The HMC533LP4 is housed in a leadless QFN 4-by-4mm surface mount package, operates from a 5Vdc supply, and exhibits -95dBc/Hz SSB phase noise at 100kHz offset from the carrier.

Samples are available from stock and can be ordered online.
