Offers a compact, two-channel selectable filterSpectrum Microwave, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Spectrum Control Inc., announced a new isolated switch filter bank that offers a compact, two-channel selectable filter suitable for IF filtering.

The filter bank uses integral input and output isolators to achieve the required return loss (VSWR) without compromising its narrow band performance. According to the company, this isolated switched filter bank assembly enables RF engineers and system designers to dynamically configure their systems' capabilities.

The integrated assembly features input and output isolators to provide a consistent 50? load, dual selectable bandwidths (85MHz and 50 MHz), lightweight aluminum housing, 40dB reverse isolation, and internal voltage regulation. The filter bank measures 6.5(L)-by-1.75(W)-by-1(H) inches, excluding connectors, and weighs 8 ounces. The assembly, offering low power consumption, is designed for use in microwave receivers, downconverters and point-to-point radio systems.

Additional performance characteristics include a center frequency of 1,000MHz and switching speed of 400ns (max). Other features include conduction cooling, internal voltage regulation, and an operating temperature range of -10C to 65C. The isolated switch filter banks are available for $1,250 in small quantities and for $865 in 100-piece orders.
