TCXO operates at 3.3V or 5VFordahl USA Inc. said it has introduced the industry's smallest wide temperature range Stratum III and Sonet temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO). The new lead-free/RoHS compliant TCXO offers a temperature stability of 0.28ppm over a temperature range of -40ZC to 85C in a surface-mount 5-by-7mm package.

Operating at 3.3V or 5V, the new DFA S2 Stratum 3 TCXO offers standard frequencies of 10-, 12.8-, 19.44-, 20- and 38.88MHz. Other frequencies may be specified. The TCXO will maintain an overall 4.6 ppm frequency tolerance over 15 years. Other key specifications include low jitter of

The DFA S2-LHZ provides a LVHCMOS/HCMOS output and a tri-state function. This oscillator is designed particularly for Stratum III or Sonet (SMC) applications as specified in Telcordia GR-1244 CORE, GR-253 CORE and ITU-T G.813 option 1 and 2.

Available in tape-and-reel packaging, the DFA S2 device is priced at $20 in quantities of 5,000. Delivery is eight to ten weeks.
