This HDMI receptacle is RoHS compliantSupporting the next-generation interface for consumer electronic products such as digital televisions, DVD players and set-top boxes, FCI has developed a new high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) receptacle that is RoHS compliant and uses gold plating in the contact area.

The HDMI uses one small, user-friendly connector that is designed to carry up to 5Gbps of uncompressed video and audio in one cable. The HDMI contains metal shields for better electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection and provides low impedance mismatch, said the company.

The new 19-position, surface-mount HDMI receptacle also comes with the option of a panel-mount flange. It's rated for 10,000 mating cycles.

Typical pricing for the HDMI receptacle is $1.20 in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is four weeks.
