New camera module socket from SMK meets SMIA standard

Designed for mobile phonesSMK's new lead-free socket accepts Standard Mobile Imaging Architecture (SMIA) specifications for the 9.5-by-9.5mm camera module known as SMIA95. The new device is suitable for mobile phones, automotive rear-view cameras and security cameras.

Featuring a double-latching structure for securing the camera module, the fully-shielded socket measures 10.75-by-10.8-by-4.4mm. Key specifications include a contact resistance of 30 m? maximum, insulation resistance of 100 M? and a voltage rating of 50V, 0.5A, ac/dc. The operating temperature range is -30C to 85C.

The camera module socket is priced at 45 cents each in a minimum quantity of 800. Delivery is six to eight weeks.
