Nokia Chengdu R&D center is the company's sixth R&D unit and second 3G R&D center in China.

"Nokia is delighted to establish an R&D center in this part of China," said David Ho, president of Nokia China. "This marks another important step forward for Nokia in implementing its localization strategy. On the other hand, this R&D Center will further strengthen our partnership with, and our market position in, this important economic center of China," Ho.
