Arrow Asia Pac, RDA sign franchise agreement

Arrow Asia Pac Ltd and RDA Microelectronics Inc. have announced a franchise agreement recently, making Arrow Asia the first distributor of RDA products in Asia.

According to Vincent Tai, CEO of Shanghai-based RDA, the move is part of the company's strategy to expand its market share and develop its business relations with Arrow Asia.

"Arrow's world class demand creation and supply chain management capability will undoubtedly provide top-notch support to our customers who are engaged in design, manufacturing and procurement of electronics products," says Tai.

All of RDA's products will be distributed via Arrow Asia's various sales offices in 11 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific.

"This partnership will allow us to provide RDA products to a vast number of customers in Asia who are engaged in the telecommunication industry," says Skip Streber, senior vice president of marketing of Arrow Asia. "Our extensive design capability and IDH connections will certainly help us develop total solutions to support our customers in Asia-Pacific."

Arrow Asia's vice president of Technical Services, David Shen, added that the company will be able to strengthen its client base and provide its customers, particularly those in the mobile phone sector, with high-quality and high-end technical design support services.
