Sharp Corp. has selected Sigma Designs' media processors to power its newest network LCD monitor, the IT-32X2. Sigma's EM8620L media processor streamlines the networkability for Sharp's new LCD monitor.

Sharp's new large screen network LCD monitor provides a high-resolution, 32-inch LCD that consumers can use as a TV, PC monitor and display for digital photographs.

"The eye-catching, sleek LCD monitors that Sharp continues to showcase provide the perfect packaging for consumer convenience and appeal," said Ken Lowe, VP of strategic marketing, Sigma Designs. "Sigma is committed to providing leaders like Sharp with advanced features and technological expertise to stay ahead of the market."

The IT-32X2 has two multi-screen functions, picture-by-picture that displays a PC and TV screen at the same time, and picture-in-picture which displays small-type sub-screen in the main screen by cut-in, all with the touch of a button. The IT-32X2 has a USB input (two systems) and USB hub (down-stream x 2ports, up-stream x 1port), allowing digital photo viewing simply by connecting a digital camera, as well as play contents kept in the device corresponding to the USB mass storage device on LCD monitor.
