Fabless ASIC design foundry VeriSilicon Holdings Co. Ltd has licensed LSI Logic Corp.'s ZSP400 DSP core to strengthen its IP portfolio. The core is available for customers designing complex SoCs. VeriSilicon has also joined the ZSP solution partner program as a "ZSP Authorized Design Center.&quot.;

VeriSilicon incorporated LSI Logic's ZSP400 into its IP portfolio and IC design flow in response to growing customer requests for comprehensive design services. The ZSP400 core will be available to VeriSilicon customers as part of their turnkey SoC design service. Plans to expand the agreement to include additional ZSP cores and technologies are expected to be available through the VeriSilicon and LSI Logic relationship in the future.

Wayne Dai, president, CEO of VeriSilicon, stated, "By incorporating the ZSP technology into our design flow, we've bridged the gap between cost-effective manufacturing and the complex DSP IPs required for SoC designs."

VeriSilicon has its primary operation in Shanghai, China and operation centers in Silicon Valley, California, United States; Taipei, Taiwan; and Tokyo, Japan.
