China-based TV maker Konka Group has made Genesis Microchip Inc. its predominant supplier of advanced TV controller chips for its LCD, CRT and plasma TV platforms. Genesis's gm1501, gm1601 and FLI2310 display controllers are leveraged across several platforms, as stand-alone solutions or in combination, to support higher resolution 1080p panels and PIP functionality.

Of the forty new models, thirty-five are LCD TVs ranging in size from 20-inches to 47-inches and five are plasma TVs ranging in size from 42-inches to 46-inches. Konka is introducing these new models in multiple geographies, including under its own brand in China and under OEM brands in the U.S., Europe, South America and Australia.

"With Genesis, we are able to offer customers in multiple geographies a wide range of advanced televisions with premium video quality," said Liu Dan, general manager of the digital flat display company's multimedia product division.
