National Instruments (NI) released its PXI-4224, a 60Vdc, Cat. I, channel-to-channel isolated data acquisition (DAQ) module that provides eight channels of 16bit analog input measurements.
According to the press release, this module is especially useful for industrial applications requiring highly accurate, small-signal measurements with a high common-mode voltage and protects the measurement system from possible voltage spikes or power surges, ensuring the safety of users and protection of expensive equipment.
With the new PXI-4224, scientists and engineers can now take measurements in an industrial setting where voltage spikes and transient signal inputs often occur. In addition, NI said, the included channel-to-channel isolation eliminates ground loops and provides better noise immunity.
Designed to work with LabVIEW 7 Express and NI-DAQmx measurement services software, the new module features integrated signal conditioning and provides programmable gain settings per channel to ensure maximum measurement accuracy. The 333kS/s sampling rate and 16bit resolution offer the flexibility to measure a broad range of signals with highly accurate voltage measurements, added the company.
