South Korea-based application processor vendor ADTechnology Co. Ltd has licensed the ARM7TDMI processor. The licensing of ARM's technology will enable ADTechnology to offer power efficient and low cost application processing in its new MP3 players and smart phones SoC designs.

"ARM's comprehensive support and our design expertise will enable our customers to reduce time-to-market and keep ahead of their competition," said Jun-Suk Kim, president, CEO of ADTechnology.

With ARM RealView developer suite compatibility and a broad range of software and operating system solutions from ARM connected community partners, the ARM7TDMI processor is a low-risk solution for building advanced mobile consumer devices. With FPGA and design simulation models available today for the ARM7TDMI processor, hardware and software design can start immediately drawing on the large offering of ARM technology-supported operating systems, middleware and applications software.

ADTechnology's first ARM Powered product will be available in Q1 2006.
