Provides 8W in a DIP case

MicroPower Direct's A800ERW family of (isolated) dc-dc converters, an extension to the company's Budget Saver series, provides 8W in a DIP case for compact, low-cost board-mount installations. The single- and dual-output modules, in 28 standard models, provide 3.3-, 5-, 9-, 12-, 15-, 5-, 12- and 15Vdc from a nominal 5-, 12-, 24- or 48V input.

Features include a line regulation of better than 10.5 percent, load regulation of 0.5 percent (single output models, 2 percent for dual output models), and ripple and noise of lower than 80mV p-p (3.3V and 5V models, 1 percent p-p for all other models). Efficiency ranges from 74 to 86 percent, depending on model. Input-to-output isolation is at least 1.5kV. The MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) is greater than 1 million hours.

Contact the company directly for the datasheet. The A800ERW family is packaged in a compact 24-pin package having a footprint of 1.25-by=0.8 inches. Each model is specified for operation over -40C to 75C (ambient) with no derating or heat sinking required. Cooling is by free-air convection.

The A800ERW is priced at $18.60 to $18.95 each, depending on model. Delivery is stock to six weeks.
