PCB series of wirewound resistors

Stackpole Electronics Inc. introduced a line of ceramic-housed, commercial-grade wirewound resistors with unique spade lead, PC-board mountable terminations. Standing high off the PC-board, these new PCB series resistors eliminate temperature concerns typically associated with power resistors.

The new PCB series resistors, manufactured with a flameproof construction, provide power ratings between 3W and 20W at 70C, and are available from 0.1? to 1.25 k? with tolerances of 5 percent and 10 percent. These devices are also available with custom windings for special surge and pulse handling requirements.

The PCB series is RoHS compliant with Pb-free 100 percent matte tin terminations. They may be used in industrial equipment, high-power power supplies, industrial power controls and motor controllers.

Offered in bulk packages ranging from 150- to 500-piece increments, the PCB series is typically priced at 20 cents in volume quantities. Delivery is from stock to six weeks.
