Oscillators feature fast delivery

Touting superior jitter performance, comparable to SAW-based devices, MtronPTI has introduced two new oscillator lines that feature the company's QiK Chip technology for a shorter two-week cycle time. These include the low-jitter M210x series of clock oscillators and the M310x series of voltage-controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs) with frequencies from 150MHz to 1.4GHz.

Available in either a 5-by-7mm or 9-by-14mm package, the M210x clock oscillators feature jitter performance of 0.30ps typical at 622MHz and is said to provide better stability (±20ppm) than SAW-based devices over the industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. These clock oscillators are available in an operating voltage of 1.8-, 2.5- and 3.3V, along with PECL, LVDS and CML output options. They incorporate a 0.01?F bypass capacitor for optimum noise suppression.

The M310x VCXOs, also available in 5-by-7mm or 9-by-14mm packages, offer low jitter performance of 0.50ps typical at 622.08MHz. Like the M210x devices, the VCXOs offer operating voltages of 1.8-, 2.5- and 3.3V, as well as PECL, LVDS and CML output options. They also incorporate a 0.01?F bypass capacitor for optimum noise suppression. They feature an absolute pull range (APR) of ±50ppm or ±100ppm over the industrial operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.

Both packages are ROHS compliant and 260°C reflow compatible. Applications include telecommunications, wireless base stations, avionic flight controls, test equipment, instrumentation and military communications.

Pricing for the M210x and M310x devices ranges from $17 to $40, depending on frequency and performance in quantities of 1,000.
