O2Micro to open China facility

O2Micro International Ltd has announced plans to set up an IC test facility in China. The testing center, which will be ready by 2006, will perform final electrical and wafer level electrical testing for analog and mixed signal products.

"It is expected that unit volumes of customer requirements will grow in the future, particularly in China. The addition of this test center will provide the capacity and flexibility needed for O2Micro to meet customer demand for high volumes of IC products in the future," said a company spokesperson.

O2Micro is a supplier of innovative power management, and security components and systems for the computer, consumer, industrial and communications markets.
