PCB-mounted supplies stress safety

Bear Power Supplies' new BP-3 series of encapsulated pc-board mountable AC/DC modules features a mini-IEC input connector and detachable line cord for the AC power input to eliminate exposed connections while simplifying system design, testing and certification tasks.

These modules, in 15 versions that provide 5-, 10- and 15W at 3.3V to 24V, feature a line regulation of ±0.5 percent, load regulation of ±0.5 percent, and maximum noise and ripple of 1 percent p-p. Typical efficiency is 75 percent. These supplies are rated for operation over -40°C to 70°C.

The supplies carry the CE mark and are TUV-tested. The product specification sheet can be accessed by clicking here. The power supplies, measuring from 1.75-by-2.64-by-0.75 inches (5W) to 1.89-by-3.14-by-0.92 inches (15W) are also available in chassis-mountable versions. Pricing starts as low as $30 each in volume. Custom power versions are available.
