Silicon Image, Inc. announced the expansion of the company's HDMI and PanelLink Cinema testing capabilities to China. Opening in Shenzhen, the HDMI Authorized Testing Center and the PanelLink Cinema Testing Center will greatly simplify and accelerate the process of bringing HDMI products to

market for Chinese consumer electronics manufacturers.

Silicon Image established this joint testing center to provide Chinese manufacturers with easy access to a testing facility. The rollout of HDMI continues to accelerate globally, with projections showing that more than 16 million devices featuring HDMI will be sold in 2005. This rapid adoption of HDMI has spurred the need for expanded testing capabilities provided by the HDMI Authorized Testing Center in Shenzhen, which will join existing HDMI Authorized Testing Centers in Sunnyvale, California, Osaka, Japan, and Caen, France.
