HMC483MS8G(E) mixer

Hittite Microwave Corp. unveiled a mixer family with integrated local oscillator (LO) amplifiers designed for cellular/3G infrastructure applications from 0.7GHz to 1.4GHz.

The new HMC483MS8G(E) mixer is a high dynamic range MMIC mixer with integrated LO amplifier which is rated from 0.7GHz to 1.4GHz. The input third-order intercept point (IP3) performance is 33dBm for down conversion and 30dBm for up conversion, and it is achieved with 0 of LO drive. The input output-power at 1dB compression (P1dB) is 24dBm. It is designed with a DC to 350MHz IF bandwidth in order to satisfy most GSM and CDMA Tx and Rx applications, said the company.

The HMC483MS8G(E) is pin for pin compatible with the HMC485MS8G(E) which is a 1.7GHz to 2.4GHz mixer with integrated LO amplifier. Together, these mixers allow designers to use a single PCB layout for 800, 900, 1,900 and 2,100 MHz applications.

The HMC483MS8G(E) and the HMC485MS8G(E) are housed in RoHS-compliant MSOP8GE packages.
