Zetex opens China office

Zetex Semiconductors opened its first representative office in mainland China. Located in Shenzhen, the new office provides local customer service and technical support for the company's broad range of analog semiconductor solutions.

"China is clearly the manufacturing powerhouse behind a whole host of consumer electronic products which benefit greatly from our unique brand of power efficient devices," said Bob Conway, chief executive officer of Zetex Semiconductors at the opening ceremony. Conway explained that opening the new office is a strategic decision for us, having a number of very important customers in the region and it's essential to be closer to them, to provide them with the right level of service and support.

Zetex has played an active role in the Asia Pacific region for more than 15 years. The company opened its Hong Kong office in 1989, launched a joint manufacturing venture with Chengdu City in 1995 and is represented in the region by an extensive network of distributors and agents.
