PXI 4009 PXI card

GoPEL electronic GmbH extended its range of existing PXI cards with the release of the PXI 4009, a high-density resistance simulator plug-in that can simulate changing resistances in two separate resistance channels.

The PXI 4009 covers a range between zero ohms and 1 M?, with a resolution of 0.5?. Resistors dissipate 300mW, and are 1 percent accurate.

The PXI 4009 is also a follow-on to the company's previously released PXI 4408 product, which is an 8-channel device. This latest plug-in can be ordered as either a resistance decade or potentiometer. Both PXI and CompactPCI bus usage is supported.

Automotive in mind
GoPEL electronic says its board was designed for applications in general test-and-measurement as well as for the automotive industry. In automobile applications the plug-in can simulate resistance of things such as fuel sensors.

Both channels are also potential-free. In use, it's also possible to program resistance sweeps via a driver, and to output the sweeps seamlessly. A non-volatile on-board memory is available for the storage of calibrating data.
