APS400MX switching power supplies

The APS400MX series of single- and dual-output switching power supplies from Advanced Power Solutions delivers 400W at 2V to 58V for medical and other harsh environments. The U-frame supplies measure 5-by-8-by-1.6 inches (optional end-mount fan cover extends the depth to 9 inches).

The universal-input, power-factor-corrected supplies, in seven versions for the single-output models and five versions for the dual-output models, feature a total regulation of 1 percent, maximum ripple and noise of 1 percent p-p, and efficiency of at least 80 percent at full load and for a 230Vac input. These are constant-voltage supplies with an option for constant-current operation (suited for battery charging applications).

The units offer remote sense, current sharing, remote on/off, voltage margining of 50 to 100 percent, and an auxiliary 12V fan output. Supplies may also be configured with internal OR-ing diodes for redundant applications. The units feature low leakage (less than 300?A) and offer dual-fused input protection. The supplies are approved to UL60601-1/EN60601-1/CSA 22.2 No. 601-1-M.90 safety specs and bear the CE Mark (LVD).

Click here for the specification sheets for the single-output versions and here for the dual-output models. Pricing for standard single-output units is as low as $140 each in for 1,000-unit quantities.
