One Stop Displays (OSD) has unveiled a new series of 256 x 64 monochrome OLED displays that are rated for 100,000 hours.

The company expects that the long 100,000-hour life will enable designers to consider OLED technology for new designs and applications. However, the advancement is limited to monochromatic products in limited color offerings. The lifetime is calculated for operational hours from initial to half-brightness at 250C.

The new OSD312-B-CON is a 256 x 64 monochrome OLED, which is a suitable match for a full range of 1RU rack-mount designs, as well as a host of other applications including automotive and avionics. The display supports 7-bits per pixel PWM for grayscale image depth. The 3.12-inch OLED, with outline dimensions of 88-by-27.8-by-2.2mm, offers compatibility with parallel, I2C and SPI interfaces via a standard ZIF-style 0.5mm pitch flex interface.

Pricing for the OSD312-B-CON starts at $26.60 in quantities of 5,000.
