RF front-end reference designs

Anadigics Inc. announced RF front-end reference designs for multi-tuner applications, such as televisions, STBs and digital video recorders (DVRs)/personal video recorders (PVRs). According to the press release, these high performance reference designs use Anadigic's integrated tuners and active splitters on the same PCB to provide complete RF front-end solutions that enable manufacturers to develop products that maximize use of available bandwidth to provide crystal clear video and high data throughput.

"Anadigics' reference designs incorporate its leadership integrated IC tuners and splitters, as well as its expertise in RF design, to help manufacturers accelerate time-to-market," said Ron Michels, SVP and GM of Broadband Products at Anadigics. "Our reference designs offer manufacturers a fast and convenient way to incorporate these features into their products, by utilizing the performance advantages of our integrated tuners and active splitters in multi-tuner environments."

The new reference designs are designed to provide maximum signal integrity, with low noise figures as well as low composite triple beat and composite second order distortion products.
