Enensys rolls new RF Modeler for DVB-T, DVB-H apps

Enensys Technologies unveiled a DVB-T and DVB-H terrestrial modulator capable of modulating the Transport Stream in DVB-T and DVB-H modes; merging a clean broadcast quality signal with a mastered level of white noise NOISE; and overlapping terrestrial signal with MULTIPATH ECHOES and set each FADING's level.

According to the press release, the RF Modeler outputs a signal having the spectral density required by people who design, develop, test and manufacture DVB-T or DVB-H receiving applications. RF Modeler enables in-house reproduction of SFN networks, addressing the problematic issues brought by multi path echoes of in-door and out-door signal reception and their fading consequences. In addition, the RF Modeler offers RF engineers the full command over the C/N ratio values of the DVB-H signal received by an application under test.

When noise and echoed signal generation functionalities are disabled, explained Enensys, the RF Modeler plays the role of a high end broadcast quality DVB-T or DVB-H modulator with RF output in the VHF or UHF band (agile filtered). This product handles 5-, 6-, 7- and 8MHz bandwidth, 2k, 4k and 8k FFT size, TPS signalization, hierarchical mode, and can synchronize either directly from data input source or from external 10MHz clock source. The RF Modeler supports any kind of ASI input (burst or continuous), performing bit rate adaptation and PCR restamping.
