Elpida samples 80nm-based 2Gb DDR2 SDRAM

Elpida Memory Inc. announced the shipment of 80nm-based 2Gb DDR2 SDRAM samples. These samples are said to be among the first 80nm-based devices to be shipped for customer evaluation, and are expected to be used first in high-density memory modules for high performance servers.
The samples are available in three different data rate speeds: 533Mbps, 667Mbps or 800Mbps. They are organized as either 64M words-by-4bits-by-8 banks or as 32M words-by-8bits-by-8 banks. The supply voltage is 1.8V 10.1V, and the operating temperature range is 0 to 850C. The devices are available in 68-ball FBGA packages for mounting on DIMMs.
The SDRAM devices are currently available to customers as samples.
