The phrase "Leap ahead" will replace the "Intel Inside" branding strategy. "Intel Inside" was launched in the 1990s to boost the company's brand, according to the report.
Intel's new notebook-based processor line, dubbed Yonah, will be marketed as Core, according to the report. The processor, part of the company's so-called Viiv consumer platform, will debut early this year.
Paul Otellini, Intel's chief executive, will unveil details of the campaign during this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
