Skyworks announced that its Indian Design Center successfully went through Software Engineering Institute-Capability Maturity Model Integrated (SEI-CMMI) Level 3 appraisal, as defined by Carnegie Mellon University.

CMMI is a process improvement approach that helps integrate separate organizational functions, sets improvement goals and priorities, provides guidance for quality, and provides a point of reference for appraising current processes.

"Achieving CMMI appraisal in such a short span of time is a testimony to our world class quality systems and disciplines," said Satyajit Patne, managing director for Skyworks' India design center. "We don't plan to stop here. We are committed to continually improving our processes."
