Electronic system level (ESL) tool provider Celoxica said it would collaborate with Synoro Technologies Ltd India to develop programmable intellectual property (IP) solutions for vertical market applications.
Targeting the increasing number of FPGA- and system-on-programmable-based production deployments in automotive, imaging and network security, the companies intend to combine Celoxica's C-based design and synthesis technology with Synoro's algorithm expertise and engineering resources, the companies said.
The companies plan to roll out solutions for non-intrusive automotive safety systems that integrate machine vision, sensor technology, programmable FPGA and programmable IP at the Electronic Design and Solutions Fair 2006 in Yokohama, Japan from Jan. 26 to 27.
Using Celoxica's ESL design path from software specification to hardware implementation, Synoro will demonstrate how complex algorithms and software models can be accelerated and quickly realized in working silicon, the companies said.
"Programmable silicon has hit the price, performance inflection point for volume production in new application areas," said Colin Mason, Celoxica's VP of Asia Pacific, in a statement. "To exploit this new opportunity, partner companies such as Synoro are increasingly using our ESL tools to rapidly design their IP and expert know-how into circuits and software."
