Littelfuse Inc. announced that it has signed a new business cooperation agreement with Polytronics Technology Corp. that expands the relationship between the two companies. Littelfuse has a minority investment in Polytronics, one of the leaders in polymer PTC circuit protection components. Headquartered in Taiwan, Polytronics has both design and manufacturing capabilities in China.

"The extended relationship with Polytronics is a good strategic fit for Littelfuse," said Littelfuse CEO Gordon Hunter. "As part of the agreement, we will work with Polytronics to jointly develop new PTC circuit protection products. The agreement also adds Polytronics' broad range of axial and radial PTC devices to our existing surface mount PTC offering and Littelfuse's extensive circuit protection product portfolio further enhancing the value we bring to our customers."

The PTC products from Littelfuse and Polytronics are used to protect against over-current conditions in consumer electronics, computer, telecom, mobile power and other electronic applications.
