Jaenn Corp., Professional Computer Technology Ltd (PCT), Supreme Electronics Co. Ltd and other Taiwan-based IC distributors have reduced their sales targets for the first quarter of the year due to sluggish demand.

Industry reports say that Jaenn increased its forecast sales decline for the quarter to 10 to 15 percent, from the initial 5 to 10 percent.

PCT was also reported to have changed its initial on-level sales forecast to 5 to 10 percent for the same quarter. Meanwhile, Supreme Electronics expects lower sales for the period, indicating that buyers of NAND flash products are not keen on placing orders and are waiting for prices to fall. Industry reports also show that DDR2 products are in short supply in the market.

On the other hand, WPG Holdings Ltd maintains its steady revenue outlook. The company is increasing its production share of analog and linear IC shipments from 30 to 36 percent.
