PC-mount toggle switches

Available in a wide range of configurations, NKK Switches has designed its B series of anti-static, PC-mount toggle switches for logic-level applications.

The subminiature, sealed B series toggles are rated for 0.4VA maximum at 28V AC/DC maximum. The mechanical life is rated for 100,000 operations minimum for maintained circuits and 50,000 operations minimum for momentary circuits. The electrical life is rated at 50,000 operations minimum. The contact timing is non-shorting and the angle of throw is 26.

The B series toggles are available in both single- and double-pole models with 11 circuits in both momentary and maintained configurations. Actuators can be specified in a myriad of styles, lengths and colors. Options include standard bats, locking levers, anti-static levers, flatted levers, colored sleeves and snap-on paddles. In addition, an optional threaded, 6mm diameter bushing for panel seal mounting is available and meets IP-65 of IEC60529 specifications.

The B series switches are process sealed and feature a totally sealed body construction that prevents contact contamination. In addition, ultrasonically welded terminals lock out flux and other contaminants. The case housing is constructed of glass-reinforced polyamide.

The body of the B series, including the bushing, measures .515 inch in height. The dimensions of the single-pole and double-pole versions are .268-inch wide and .346-inch wide, respectively. These measurements include a .106-inch long bushing. A choice of mounting options is available including straight PC in bracketed and unbracketed models, vertical PC and right-angle PC mounts. The B series toggle switches also incorporate NKK's sliding twin crossbar contact mechanism that provides high switching reliability and a smoother positive detent action. The anti-static switches also feature a carbon-impregnated bushing. When configured with a support bracket, it prevents static discharge to the contacts.

The B series toggle switches are priced at $1.89 each in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is from stock to seven weeks.
