RF choke features smaller size

J.W. Miller Magnetics offers its 79F conformal coated choke in a smaller subminiature package size of 0.10(?)-by- 0.16(L)-inch.

The 79F series devices feature many of the same design characteristics inherent in the company's existing 5300, 77F, 78F and 8230 conformal coated chokes including high Q value and high-frequency characteristics. The 79F series supplies an inductance range of 0.10?H to 470?H, high self-resonant frequency up to 300MHz, and a dielectric strength of 500Vrms. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 105°C.

Manufactured with an epoxy coating for durability and protection against harsh environments, the chokes also feature a ferrite bobbin core and color band identification. Applications include computers and computer peripherals, telecommunication, EMI filters, and consumer electronics such as audio, TV, VCR, DVD, DSS STBs, car navigation systems and game consoles.

The 79F conformal coated RF choke series is priced from 6 cents each in production quantities. Delivery is four to six weeks.
