Mini slide switch is RoHS compliant

EAO has launched its RoHS-compliant 1K2 slide switch for PCB applications.

The miniature 1K2 switch occupies a board space of 10-by-2.5mm with a height of 4.5mm, excluding the actuator. The switch is available with 2.54mm pitch pins allowing end-to-end or compact side-by-side mounting on a 2.54mm pitch board. Straight or 90° terminal versions are available.

The 1K2 switch is offered as a single-pole/single-throw (SPST) version, with a choice of two heights of actuator-standard (red) or raised (black). The raised actuator version makes it suitable for through-panel operation and the switch offers clear tactile feedback as well as instant recognition of switch position when operated.

The contact material is gold-plated nickel. A version with extra gold plating is available for operation in saline or damp conditions and will operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. The 1K2 switch has a contact power rating of 6W nominal and is capable of switching 24V maximum. The contact resistance is <22 milliohms. Lifetime at nominal rating is 1,000 operations or 10,000 mechanical operations.

The 1K2 switch has a fully sealed base making these switches compatible with solvent cleaning. Typical applications include jumper replacement, circuit testing, on/off switching, factory setting and board configuration.

Prices start at approximately 95 cents each in quantities of 100.
