Zoran Corp. has announced that its Generation 9 Elite digital television processor powers Humax Co.'s new JC-5000, a digital cable set-top box designed for the ARIB-standard market in Japan and certified by Japan Cable Lab.

According to Humax' STB General Manager Ju-Ha Park, they selected Zoran's Generation 9 Elite product solution because it enabled them to meet the demanding digital cable requirements in Japan.
