Surface-mount common mode chokes for CAN-BUS apps

TT electronics BI Technologies Magnetic Components Division has designed a series of surface-mount common mode chokes to filter signals for CAN-BUS applications. The HM67 series has been approved by major automakers in their vehicle bus and communication systems.

The four-terminal HM67 series chokes feature common-mode inductance values from 5?H to 4,700?H (at 100kHz; 0.1V), with inductance leakage from 0.08?H to 2.80?H. Rated current for the devices ranges from 200mA to 1,000mA, with DC resistance values ranging from 5.8 m? to 403 m?. Dielectric withstanding voltage is 300Vdc.

The operating temperature range is -40deg;C to 125deg;C, with a maximum temperature rise rating of 40C and a maximum ambient temperature of 85C.

Available in 400- and 2,000-units, the common mode chokes are available in standard embossed tape and reel packaging. A Pb-free version is available.

Typical pricing for the HM67 series is approximately 59 cents to 75 cents depending on volume. Delivery is from stock to ten weeks.
