Designed to reduce system downtime even further, Tripp Lite's SU5000RT4U and SU6000RT4U UPSthe latest online, double-conversion additions to the company's SmartOnline familytout a unique power distribution unit (PDU) that allows UPS system maintenance and component replacement without power interruption.

"With the technology of our SmartOnline series well established, Tripp Lite is excited to introduce these practical innovations to our expanding enterprise customer base," says David Slotten, director of product management. "The utility of our hot-swappable modular architecture, combined with runtime scalability, extensive manageability and N+1 options for multiple power supplies represents a leap forward versus legacy systems costing thousands more."

The PDU's manual bypass switch feature, combined with the UPS' internal bypass feature, allows end users to perform all UPS maintenancefrom battery replacement to complete power module exchangewithout powering down connected equipment. The systems also feature scalable runtime via optional battery packs and N+1 availability.

The SU5000RT4U is priced at $3,645 (MSRP), and the SU6000RT4U is $4,525.
