Spectrum Control's terminal blocks

Spectrum Control's filtered terminal block line is now available in RoHS-compliant versions. These devices are offered in barrier strip or PCB models.

Available in two to six terminal configurations, the barrier strip filtered terminal blocks are designed to provide excellent EMI/RFI filtering of AC and DC power, and control lines. They are UL recognized and CSA approved for DC voltages. These terminal blocks provide a working voltage of 100Vdc, a capacitance range of 2,500pF to 5,200pF and a current rating of 20A. The operating temperature is -55C to 105C.

The PCB filtered terminal blocks provide high insertion loss for EMI/RFI filtering of DC power and control lines. These terminal blocks are available with two to 12 terminals. Electrical characteristics include a working voltage of 100Vdc, a capacitance of 2,500pF (80 percent/-20 percent), and a current rating of 12A. The operating temperature is -40C to 80C.

The rugged construction protects the filter element from damage that is common during changes in field wiring, said the company, and every part is 100 percent tested for key parameters. Standard and custom versions are available. Typical applications include telecommunications equipment, cellular base stations, linear power amplifiers, cellular microcell repeaters, power supplies, instrumentation, power distribution, as well as industrial, scientific and medical equipment.

Prices range from $8 to $36, depending on model and quantity.
